I think they can hear my car from far away or something. When I walk up the steps, they jump down from the window seat and rush to the door, where they make bringing in groceries almost impossible. I have learned to bring in one little thing the first trip, so we can do all of the greeting without dropping things. They jump, stand on hind legs, and generally all 3 are vieing for my attention at once. I just get down with them, give them each some loving and they are good to go. I can bring the rest in without the hullabaloo. I love coming home too!
Forgot to add -- if I decide to walk out to the mail box instead of coming straight in the house, they all three start barking like crazy. I think they are trying to tell me, "Over here, mom, you are going the wrong way!" |
I always wonder that too. How is it that every time I pull up, he is looking out the window. I know he doesn't do that all day. He must hear my car from a mile away!
If I am home all day, and have to run outside to get the mail or whatever, as soon as I come back in he acts like he hasn't seen me all day.
