I know of people that brag about how tiny their tea cup Chihuahua or Yorkie is and how they are just so caught up with the size. Then you find out they only feed the dog 2 teaspoons of food a day! That is animal cruelty and it makes me sick.
I have a runt chihuahua and she technically should weigh 2 1/2 lbs to be her perfect size. I feed her well and she gets what all my regular guys get. Generally little Possum is touching close to 3lbs. That is a tiny bit chubby for her but I refuse to starve my dog just so I can try to impress people with her size.
It reminds me of people that put their little girls in Pageants when they are six months old and say they do it because the little girls wanted it so bad.
