I saw on the news last night where a Basset Hound named Sophie had a very bad habit of eating metal. The owner was surprised when their vet took an x-ray that showed the dog's stomach contained a piece of metal siding, a dog tag and 13 nails. They operated and the little Basset Hound recovered with no ill effects. Whew!
