I too live in the country. Surrounded by corn and bean fields. We have a blacktop road that runs in front of our house. No sidewalks. Our road is busy a couple times a day. I take Bella for walks out on the road to the 2 lane highway and back to our house, which amounts to a half mile per trip. I would say if your road isn't busy use it. When I see a car coming I pull the leash shorter and keep Bella walking right beside me then. |
