I made up a packet for each new owner. I had information on foods, training, my health contract, the puppies shot records, AKC registration application, lists of poisonous foods for dogs, general Yorkie information, of course contact information for me. I also had it in my contract that rehomed dogs had to come back to me. I put pictures of their mom and dad in the packet so they sort of had a family album to start. I gave them food samples, a couple pee pads, a toy, a blanket they slept with the last week, just to make the puppy more comfortable. There are several top breeders on YT that have websites. I read all of their new puppy info and used parts (with permission) to make my own information packet. It makes you feel good to send them off with some references and starting supplies. Get full contact info for the new owners so you can email, call, and write. You need the info for your AKC files anyway. I feel very good about the people thta have my pups. I see several of them that went to family and friends and they are bringing them just as much joy as mine are to me. That is one thing about a yorkie -- they just live to be loved.
