Yorkie pups are born black with tan points and morph to the desired dark steel blue and tan or at least that's what we hope will happen.
Nancy provided a link to explain the born blue puppies that can have health issues.
At times pups are born premature and will come into the world a bluish/gray.....but will turn to the black. Yes, you can have multiple pups in a litter and some can be born at term and some premature. But, I'm sure you know that and I really didn't have tell you that.
