Different vets give different information. Did your drops not work? What drops do you use?

He said get the flea drops from the vet and then buy a shampoo that will not nutrealize the flea drops! I did not know that shampoo would make the drops ineffective when you use it. He sold me a bottle of shampoo - can't remember the name that will not do that. He said just make sure of that and it really doesn't matter what you use. You can use human shampoos - because all your really doing is cleaning the dirt and oils and you want to make sure that you don't use something that will dry their skin - which of course makes their scratching worse and can lead to skin abraisions and infections. He says there is alot of different kinds to buy - doesn't matter what it is as long as it doesn't make the flea drops ineffective! Who knew?? Didn't even think about that happening! Good info to know! But do not use the Hartz Flea & Tick Shampoos!! Go to the "No more Hartz Victims" website and your eyes will be opened by the blogs there! It is so scary and it happened to us! We almost lost our old buddy Gizmo to this crap! |
