Hi there and welcome to YorkieTalk. If you search some of the older posts on housebreaking a new puppy you will find lots and lots of helpful information. You need to have patience, you need to have your puppy on a schedule, you need to crate, you need to watch your puppy ever second, stearnly yell out no, clap your hands and stomp your foot when you catch him messing where he is not suppose to. Give him lots and lots of praise if he goes where he is suppose to (and a treat helps too). Remember, if you find a mess somewhere do not yell at him because he has no idea afterwards what you are mad at.

Oh yeah........... you really can't start housebreaking a puppy until he is at least 16 weeks old.

Good luck!
