If I'm not mistaken, on the Yorkie S & S website she states that it will seem waxy at first and that after a few uses, you WILL notice a difference in your yorkie's coat. I was a little taken aback by the feel of Lily's coat with just the shampoo, I let the conditioner sit for about 2 minutes then rinsed. It felt good after that. She's not silky though so I don't know if that makes a difference.
