I told the husband to quit giving in to her, but he will always slip her a little something.

Also, I am not a fan of her licking in the face. Anyone. And she will jump up on my kids, lick them in the face, and also jump up on my Mom too (and Mom is not a huge 'Dog Person' as is).

She also chases me through the house and nips at my feet and my pants.

I love her so much, but I would love to find a way to handle these behaviors. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Overall, she is a good dog and not a terror, but she gets her way 99% of the time, and if I am doing something wrong, I want to correct it before it gets out of hand.
This is what puppies do. Are you being a good mom and giving her lots of things to entertain her? She needs to go on walks, needs you to play on the ground with her, she needs a set schedule. I can't imagine anyone doing that you didn't earn it so you cannot have it with my 5 month old. Take her to puppy class. Put time in training her, she needs to learn her place. Many yorkshire terriers lick.

You will have a hard time scolding her without breaking her spirit unless you take her to puppy class to learn how. It will be minimal effort to do it and great reward. It will teach you how to discipline while letting her where she fits into your family. She needs to understand how to please you before she can begin to do this task. They are a smart breed. She will pick it up fast and please you. She's mastered the hardest part. Be proud of your girl for her housebreaking.
