Cathy thank you so much for contacting them. I would do the same thing if i were closer. In the past i've contacted shelters who had really old yorkies and tried to adopt them. I feel like they need a nice home to live out the rest of their days, even if they aren't that many. Its better then living in a concrete or metal cage for the remainder of their lives.
I hope the shelter contacts you back and you can take him home. He deserves a little loving
