I have a shorkie also and she was hard to housebreak also. We tried everything. One day she went out in the backyard with my two basset hounds did her business outside and from that day forward she's been housebroken. It took about 7 months. As for the color. Zoe was almost all black when we got her at 4 months old. She is now mostly black with some white underneath. She's 11 months old and weighs about 12 lbs I don't really see too much yorkie in her except for the color. She looks more like a shi tzu. I think they stop growing at about a year maybe less Zoe is fully grown I think. She doesn't seem to be growing anymore.
You're the first person I've ever spoken to on the forum that has a shorkie. My friend and I plan to get another shorkie in the future because outside of housebreaking they are really smart and funny.
