(1) I'm having a hard time housebreaking him, he prefers coming inside to pee on the wood floors I have to chase him down when I want to take him out and wait for him to decide to potty and most the time he wont he just waits for me to give up and bring him inside were he pees on the floor. I'm assuming its harder because he was older when I bought him 4 months. Any advice recommendations will be VERY appreciated !
(2) He HATES the kennel he makes the most horrible noises when you put him in there ! It sounds like someones strangling him to death. What should I do ? Let him roam the house ? Let him cry ?
(3) Will his hair grow out ? Its really greasy looking and not to long about medium length does it get longer as he grows ? Also will he change color ? He's black and tan more black then tan but I've noticed yorkies change as they mature being a mix I would assume I'm just going to have to wait and see.
(4) I've heard putting yorkies under anistesa is dangerous true ? I want to have him neutered but have heard its dangerous and he could die while under.
(5) He's 18 weeks old and 4lbs how much longer will he grow ? What age will he be full grown ?
Any answers advice etc will be very much appreciated ! Thank you |
Potty training does take time, need to let out often, even if they do not ask like after meals and when they wake up, take him to the same spot in the yard so he smells it and wants to return to the same spot. Kennels I do not like, but people do use them, I use potty pads when I am away, soak up his pee in the pad and he will start using them. Hair will grow out usually not a good coat till a year or so. I have had one yorkie fixed but he was larger and the vet really did a poop job. But Louis is fine now but is now 2 pounds heavier. Get a good vet use to small dogs to fix him. Your dog looks alot like a yorkie, but due to the fact that it is mixed I would say 8 or 9 months for him to finish growing. Yorkies due stop growing around 6 months, so you might not see much more growth out of him. Could be 4-5lbs. Best of luck hang in their it will all work out with a little patience.
