I think it depends on how tolerant your cats are. We are down to only one cat and she's 15 years old but pretty active still. She's a Bengal and I don't think they ever really grow up. I used to raise Bengals and she was one of my more dominant cats but now she will lay down and have Darwin and Mabel all over her and she's only swiped at them a couple of times, not seriously so it's been great. I used to have a large black cat who would attack neighbourhood dogs and chase them out of our yard. When I had a Doberman, my cat hated her and they never got along. Think of your cats temperament and decide if they are playful or are they a bit mean spirited. Our Yorkies love playing with Sidney and sometimes they just won't leave her alone - we're lucky she's mellowed A LOT!
