My husband and I just went through a similar experience with our 14 yr. old (now Angel). The vets told us that they did not think he would make it through ICU with his kidney values up so high. He also had degenerative disc syndrome. They completely under-estimated our family!! We were able to stabilize and maintain his health for a good 6 mos. until we were blindsided by a brain tumor. Going the extra mile is always worth it when they are willing to fight with you ~ I am so happy to read that your baby is doing so well. You are wonderful people and Layla knows everything you are doing for her. |
