I prefer to keep Shadow's hair on the short side and don't want a topknot. I groom her myself but don't want to use a clipper (afraid I'll get a buzz cut), and I'm not sure if it should be trimmed like a human's head.

Any advice?

Thanks
part the hair above the eyes as if you are parting for a forward bang. Cut the hair like if cutting a bang. The with the blending sheard begin to blend it back. Sounds complicated but, isn't at all.
