I really don't know enough about this situation to offer advice, but I just wanted to add something.

You probably already thought of this, but just wanted to suggest that you make sure you always supervise them together and separate them when you are not home. You don't want any tragic accidents.

Good for you for the research & looking into a professional trainer. I think a quality trainer could help you with your unique situation. Best of luck!
