ok reading more...says its "the proposed set of laws would require: " so its not not a law yet? it seems again the rules are for indiana not sure???
so are they working on getting all the states on board? sorry not trying to be a pain but new to AKC and want to make sure i do things right

This is an AKC requirement, I said nothing about the government. If you are breeding your dogs must be identified; not collar. Tatoo was done priorly, however, it has gone to MicroChip. AKC sells their Chips/Scanners via their store. Pet ID, DNA of required Sires, Paper Work, identification of each dogs on crates. If you're breeding you need to go and read their requirements. There will be a time that they may inspect you. It doesn't matter if it's 1 litter or 7 litters a year.
By "we" do you mean you. We still have to identify via License, the government requires rabies.
