Take your pup to the vet for a complete blood analysis to rule out any complications. Ask them to check for liver & kidney function. Also try to bring a urine sample so they can check for a possible UTI.

Our 9 weeks old boy, Bear, is also showing similar signs and symptoms. Although he has tons of energy and seems to eat regularly, he drinks alot of water and urinates often. I would have to change is pee pad twice/day because it would be soak with urine.

We were afraid that he might have diabetes/kidney/liver/etc problems so we took him to the vet yesterday (10/23/10) and did a complete blood test. Fortunately, his blood test results were all within normal limits.

The vet then wanted a urine sample to test for a possible urinary tract infection. We dropped off his urine sample this morning and the front desk girl just called us and told us that his urine was too "diluted" to test for anything, so they wanted us to bring back another sample (more "concentrated" sample)

First, I am disappointed that we received a phone call from the front desk girl (who could not answer any of my questions) and not from the doctor herself.

Second, my boy drinks and pees all day long so his urine will be diluted. What if the urine test result is what it is = diluted urine.

If blood tests all came back normal and we cannot get a "concentrated" urine sample, what is the next step??

He is not lethargic
He is very energetic and playful
He has a normal appetite

What is going on??
Does anyone have advice or know of questions we should ask the vet??

Please help.
