I'd look for a rescue in your area, it's more affordable assuming you find a rescue that doesn't have huge obvious vet bill requirements. Insure it so that if it gets sick it's covered, and you can love and rehabilitate a dog that needs a home, then some day when you have the dollars, you can buy one from a reputable breeder.
(btw I'm not for or against buying from I breeder or rescuing.. I've bought from an amazing breeder, and had a great time, but if you can't afford to go with a breeder, saving a sick or homeless puppy is better than supporting a breeder who is appearing to only be in it for the money.
