Can someone please send me the link or let me know how to find it? I think it will really be helpful "talking" to others who have had or are going through this same thing. Gucci has been in her crate since the diagnosis, and is wearing a neck brace, and I only take her out to go to the bathroom (there is a weewee pad in there but she refuses to go on that one), and to hold her and let her sit on my lap for a few minutes several times a day. Today she feels better and keeps standing up (and falling down) and crying to come out but every time I take her out she wants to try to walk all over so I'm having trouble keeping her calm.
This is great news that Gucci is older. And her weight is good. She should be a very good candidate for the AAI surgery. Although it is serious, she has good strength on her side. We are in prayer for all of you now.
Please go to this yahoo group site for AAI- AtlantoaxialInstabilitypups : AtlantoaxialInstabilitypups. we are all on it. Either Val or Jamie will respond once you access it to join up. You will find incredible support in the group. The angels in this group are my best friends...and supported me thru some tough times. Keep us posted on Gucci.
