I also use K9 Advantix. I used Frontline which did nothing for us at all. Even my vet quit selling it. K9 Advantix works for both fleas and ticks. I don't like that it has permethrin in it either but ticks are so bad in Arkansas I am afraid she would get something from them. Just like yours did with the Lymes disease. They carry so many different diseases. My son was bit by a tick and ended up getting one of the diseases. Thankfully we caught it early and it was treatable. As bad as I hate to say this, I would stick with k9 Advantix.
