My vet said that unless they start vomiting, they don't need to be seen. Even though the poison does cause bleeding...apparently before that happens they start vomiting. I learned that after two of mine got a rat one day. ewww ... I called and they said if they vomit, bring them in. One of them did start vomiting and we went in and they did lab work to make sure he was not poisoned.
Yes, they can have problems if they eat a rodent that has been poisoned.
