Thanks all for the info.
I am amazed your >12 pound dogs eat so little (around 1/2 cup per day).
The amounts given on my dog food packs suggest 3/4 cup a day for a 9 pound dog - as mine is (he keeps a constant weight on 3/4 cup). It must depend on the food brand. I use California Natural and/or Blue Buffalo Chicken/rice.
It is easier to feed less when the dog is not like a vacuum cleaner for food. LOL!
