I get a little tired of folks who criticize "show breeders" because they want to breed to the standard. And excuse me but; a Pox on breeders and for the public that seems to accept less than a very good representative of the breed just BECAUSE it will be sold as a pet.

If I was buying a purebred dog for a pet; I would insist on a very good representative of the breed, and that includes Health and Looks. Perhaps this dog might have, a too wide earset, or be slightly straight in the shoulders, or mayhap look to grow a tad over the weight limit. But I want my Yorkie to look like one, proper coat and colour, good head and dentition. And I certainly want a great temperament. Terrier to the bone.

In my opinion, there is no excuse for indiscriminately breeding two bad representatives of the breed to produce for the "pet" market.
