I've been trying to get Tallulah used to having her teeth brushed, too. Somewhere I read that you should start with putting the toothpaste (made for dogs, NOT humans) on your finger and let the dog lick it off. So far, so good. T loves the taste of the toothpaste. Then you're supposed to use your finger to gently rub the teeth. Like she's going to let me do that to her.
Tonight I'm going to get out the toothbrush and see if she will chew on it. Heck, she chews on everything else in the house. Maybe if she thinks it's a game, I can get in a few good brushes.
Someone mentioned on another thread a few days ago that her dog uses an electric toothbrush. I'd like to hear how she accomplished that! |
