Default maybe some help to dry skin and coat

I just PMed this to someone and seen so many threads about itchy dogs, I decided to post it for everyone to see.

Yes, my Lexi has dry skin/coat and it is very itchy for her. I am not sure what is going on with your baby, but in Lexi's case. She has allergies and it has caused her to have very dry and itchy skin. I have been going to the vet almost every week for a few months. They want to try a hundred new things and I'm not game.

So I first decided to treat her for dry skin/coat. She is on Skin Formula 3V Caps, (I poke a pin hole in the capsule and sqeeze it onto her food) and I switched her shampoo from CC system to a new shampoo & conditioner from Pet Smart (Groomax Professional Organic Oatmeal and Groomax Professional Rapid Repair)both hydrating, after the bath Lexi didn't itch as much as she has been. She has been treated for mites/mange with Revolution. She did not have either but because of the unexplained itching it was a let's try everything. She is on a duck and potatoe diet as well. Duck has a natural oil in it. (if you consider changing her food you can also try a fish and potatoe, Fish oil is suppose to be the best)

However, I don't know that it is the shampoo that is making her itch less, I do know the shampoo has helped her coat and skin.

My last step (hopefully) is in Jan. she is going to have a skin allergy test done and hopefully that will tell me enough to stop her itching completely.

JUST BECAUSE YOUR DOG APPEARS TO HAVE DRY SKIN/COAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT IS ALL THAT IS WRONG. HOWEVER TREATING FOR DRY SKIN/COAT WILL GIVE YOUR FURBABY SOME RELEIF. IF YOUR BABY JUST HAS DRY SKIN/COAT THEN IT SHOULD BE EASY TO HELP YOUR BABY.

Oh yeah 1 more thing you CAN give your puppy/dog in a bath with Aveno oatmeal bath.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL WITH ITCHY BABIES...
