Denamarin is a supportive therapy used for dogs with liver disease. Denamarin is ok but denosyl and Marin are preferred as separate drugs over the combo since it is optimal to give denosyl is to be given on a fast and Marin on a full stomach. Our dog has liver disease and she takes denosyl and Marin separately and is on moderate protein vegetarian diet as this works best for her. Most dogs with liver disease do very well on Hill's L/D which worked for us for a while then our dog could not tolerate the food due to her other medical problems. As ladymom said you need more information about what is going on with the liver and a simple bile acids blood test is one way to obtain more info.
