All breeders and fancier should care about the looks of a yorkie. When you loose sight of the standard you aren't taking health into consideration. We all love these little wee ones, so health this is a given. It's important to ask questions in order to understand it better.
The UK standard reads the same, doesn't it? Why do they look different? Is it because they are shown in the terrier group there?

Regardless of buying for pets or show, all breeders should breed for the same reason trying to get the best representation of the standard possible, "the one". Anyone that isn't breeding for looks shouldn't be breeding.

We love all dogs. This breed doesn't have a boxer type round head. I feel it's common here. It may be something someone is saying to promote themselves. The standard does not read that as being correct. Not ours or theirs.
