When I was pregnant with my dtr back in 1986, we lived in an old trailer beside a big pig pen. Yes, I know that is yuck enough by itself. We were young and broke. Anyway, we had problems with mice. We had taken the door off the bathroom overnight due to some repairs and it was laying in the hallway. I had gotten up in the night and accidently stepped on the door and her a crunching sound. I lifted the door and there was a little mouse laying there. I screamed and hubby came running thinking something was wrong wiht the baby. He thought the mouse was dead and placed in the garbage so he could dispose of it in the morning. I was so upset, but not as much as i was the next morning when i got up first and the mouse was missing from the trash.

Years later in a different home I saw a small baby mouse sitting in our kitchen. It was so cute. I got it in a box and set it outside. It did not even try to run. I do not know what was wrong with it but felt sorry for it.
