We trained Kona on peepads first. So when we were at home, we'd take him to the peeped and say "go potty" and treat him. So when we were at work, he'd go on the pad.
Then after a year, we decided to outside train him. So when we were at home, we'd take him outside and say go potty and treat. But we still put out a peepad when we were gone just in case.
So now, he'll usually wait for us to come home from work to be let outside. But sometimes he just can't hold it so he'll pee on his pad while we're gone. |
