I know this is a little offtopic - but another neat trick is you buy yourself a new outfit and leave it in the trunk of the car (this only used to work when I was able to drive). Then a few days later you bring it in and tell your husband you just picked it up at the cleaners 
Also helps if you have a friend who has the same outfit as you sometimes. I had a good friend (passed away a few years ago unfortunately) but she owned a boutique and often I bought clothes that were the same as some she personally owned. I had put one new dress on one day and my youngest daughter said "Another new dress Mom?" Before I could say anything my husband, bless his heart, told her that I had had it a while, in fact I had wore it the previous month. LOL - he had seen the identical dress on my friend, so he was remembering seeing it before and thinking it was on me . |
