For my migraines I take Imitrex and 2 Aleve at the same time (as per my Dr.'s instructions). Cool compress on forehead.
They also now have meds to help prevent them from occurring. I can't take this because of asthma.
Talk to your Dr. about new treatments.
Like you I have suffered with them for over 25 years. I read they can go away after menopause. Crossing my fingers.

I can't take Imitrex  . There are a couple of other migraine meds that I just can't seem to tolerate. And unfortunately I haven't had any luck with the meds claiming to prevent migraines. If there's something out there that will help me with them, I'm sure my doctor will find it. She's terrific!
