i'm flying with my bunjee to san diego this christmas via united airline.
upon booking your human tickets, you have to call the reservation desk to tell them you're bringing animal in cabin with you. united has a 2 animals in cabin policy, ie, no more than 2 carry-on pets in the cabin. the reservationist will also check that you do not have a bulk head seat, ie, a seat with no under the seat the front of you storage such as the first row of seats in each class and the emergency exit row. you pay the travel fee for the pet when you check in at the airport. united charges $80 one way for in cabin, $100 cargo. i'm also checking in a travel crate as one of my check-in luggage so that bunjee would have a crate when we arrive in san diego.

i also checked southwest air, but they have a no animals policy, either in cabin or cargo.
