Thank you so much for your post!!! I have placed 14 week old puppies and 6 year old adults in the same home..They are happy as clams-the age is a non-issue when it comes to taking a Yorkie, either purebred or mix, into your heart and home...The important thing is to consider your understanding of the breed, the match between human and dog, and the time and expectations you have to train your baby in your home.
I refer people to rescues all the time. I rarely have a puppy to place that has not already been matched with a new owner and I want those rescues to have loving caring homes. Sure, they come with issues. So do puppies many times.. Yorkies are not easy puppies/dogs to assimilate into your home and family, but oh, so worth every bit of time and energy you put into them..I never met a Yorkie I didn't love. I hope y'all find them as loving as I do.
