I flew to Florida with Vivi on Continental and will be flying again to Atlanta over Christmas. You must call the airline and book a ticket for your dog. Then within 30 days of your flight you must get your vet to sign a note that says your dog is up to date on shots and healthy to fly. On the airline website they list all the details. Your carrier must fit under the seat in front of you and they are very strict about the dog staying in the carrier during the flight. As far as size goes the dog must be 10 lbs or under and be able to stand up and turn around in the carrier. I was really lucky because Vivi slept the entire time. Before the flight I took her into the ladies room and put a pee-pee pad down and she went to the bathroom. I haven't had to take her to the bathroom on the plane yet. I hope this helps and best of luck on your flight.
