I remember a few years ago a friend (who was originally from New York) went to visit her mother in New York, she brought me back a "Kate Spade" handbag. I had it a few months and one day the "Kate Spade" logo came off the bag. It wasn't a Kate Spade!! She had bought it on Canal Street which apparently is known for "knock offs".
