IMO, it's really not breed specific. I mean, theoretically, many would say all dogs would do better on higher protein (rather than higher grain) bc of how their digestive systems are designed, the enzymes they release, and their ancestry. However, that generalization doesn't really apply to all dogs.

One dog will fare better on higher protein, another may fare better on higher grain. So, it kind of depends on your dog...as well as your preferences.

I happen to feed raw, so I generally like a higher protein. I don't think you could go wrong w/ either Orijen or Acana...Champion Foods makes good stuff .
