I am sure some people fall for them.
My sister in law (married to Bruce's brother) called one evening to ask if I knew about the relative (I forget where it was) that had died and left us millions of dollars. I really thought she was sort of joking, that she had got the e-mail and knew it was a joke and was just pulling my chain.
But it appeared that she believed it. I told her I get those all the time. She ended up putting my brother in law on the phone and he said "they'll probably want money for us to get the inheritance, guess it would be a hassle"
I really think they believed the e-mail.
