The only way for us was cold turkey and keeping a really close eye on her, she had already gained free run of the main house(with a peepad at each end)- she was also very sensitive to "no" so I had to be firm but not harsh- it was rough going for a month or so and I actually thought she was never going to get it (my husband was verryy unhappy and not at all helpful .)
Sometimes when I bring kiwi to my house I would move to peepad to a place where she never used it there before (she currently lives at my boyfriend's place). but she would still go back on the peepad to pee regardless of the "new" spot. so i was just thinking maybe if i took the peepad out completely she would hold it in and not pee on the floor.
