Some crate train young and it works great for them, but as I work full time Poppy can be by heself for upto 5 hours sometimes. (not often it all depends on which shifts my parents are on but never anymore then 5 hours.
This was why I put her in the pen with her pad when she was younger as I knew she wouldnt be able to hold it for that long.
But now she is older she has no problems holding it for that length of time. 
She actually stopped going potty in her pen as much a few weeks ago so this was a sign to me that she was beginning to hold it.
Which is why im not crating her. |
thanks for your response. she is probably not ready,then. i am home during the day everyday, but she's in her x-pen when i can't watch her. she is peeing and pooping all over the x-pen, even near or in her bedding. i don't want to pee pad train her, although it would probably be convenient on rainy days. so many decisions to make. lol
