I appreciated your opening post stating you would like a pet, no breeding or showing. I'm always upfront, so

I get a good feeling about you. I think often that they have not done their homework and the three dogs is a concern. What breeds do you have?
Because I get a good feeling from you. I will give you breeders you will get a different experience from. Two you would have to travel. Ignore the geography. They've so chit chatty, full of knowledge about the breed. Hiding nothing. I bet you will feel different. After the comments here about YTCA I gave a breeder that isn't one, but give her a call or email. I think you will like any of these. Remember, you can come back again to ask anyone or everyone. I would not reply to private messages regarding breeder referrals good or bad. If people do this they are hiding something. This should all be open for dispute and others to learn from. IMO.

I'm glad you decided not to get a dog from that breeder. No show homes I know sell pets that way. A pet is a pet. Smart thinking.
