What's your story behind choosing the Yorkshire terrier breed and what would be the number 1 thing you would want to see change as a result of your breeding program?

I'm so curious to hear some answers!
I'd always loved the Yorkshire Terrier and wanted one. As a 25th Anniversary (that's my Anna's registered name Anniversary) gift my husband presented me with my first. I joined a breed club, began attending shows in efforts to learn more about the breed from the experts. I got bit by the show bug and began researching pedigrees and breeders. One of the best was a founding member of the breed club I belonged to.

Since there is no perfect Yorkie, my goal is to continue to improve with each breeding. However, the one thing I do plan to change is; instead of having CERFs performed on my dogs. I will begin having Penn & Hip Certifications. A much more in depth validation of the structure of each dog. I'm sure as time goes on there will be more improvement on tests that provide insight to a dog's health and as those improvements evolve, I'll incorporate them into my breeding program.
