We just got a seven-year-old male Yorkie. His previous owners fed him Beneful and Alpo snaps for treats... but mostly table food it seems. The poor little guy just lives for the stuff and seems to care less about his dry food.
I'd like to change his diet, but don't want to do anything too quickly since he's still adjusting to our home. As you know, once you start researching the different dog foods available, it becomes overwhelming.
My questions are:
How much table food should be permissible?
What kind of dry food is recommended... hopefully one he will like!
What kind of treats/teeth cleaning snacks?
Do you mess with wet food too?
I know it's all subjective, but I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks!
