I'm assuming that's your definition of puppy cut, right? I read something else that said a puppy cut is just all one length, short or medium.

YTers have busted my chops for cutting him so short in the wintertime, and I think they're probably right. He seems to be getting colder this winter than he did last. I may have to reconsider his wintertime cut.

Here's a shot of him relatively soon after his last haircut. He's 1 1/2 years.
I keep Edie in a puppy cut for the same reason. Snow really sticks onto the long hair. I don't worry about her being too cold. I think most of the insulating factor is in the first half inch of hair. She wears a coat too.

I really like the puppy cut a lot better. I have never liked the long show coat look--the face looks like an old man with a beard. I prefer a baby face more!
