Sorry your little one was hurt, but know sometimes these accidents almost can't be avoided. They do seem to run right up under our feet. I think I have stepped a little on each of mine's feet, luckily not with all my weight so no lasting effects. But I have felt so terrible to inflict any pain on them at all so I know how you feel. You are doing all you can, having him checked, getting pain meds and most importantly giving him all the love you can to reassure him. When I had a litter of pups all running around I wound up learning to walk with more of a shuffle around here and that helps a lot. |
