I stick their behinds under the faucet in the laundry tub that is running with warm water. Shampoo, rinse, repeat if necessary. Dry with a towel and then comb when they're dry. It's not a big deal really and mine actually like the warm water on their stinky behinds. I can't stand a smelly dog, so that's what I do every time they come in with some poop still clinging.
