My vet always recommended them. Muffin got one every day of her life for fourteen years, unless she was sick or something. Since you never really know if your puppy is actually getting all of the vitamins that they need, I think they are a good habit to get into giving. For puppies, you give a half tablet. I just crumble them and add them to the food.
