 Trudy ate Toad Feces?!
All of this happened on Sunday night 10/10. I took her outside and I saw that she was getting at something, before I could get to her it was gone. A few minutes later she was dry heaving, and then continued to get sick. We then rushed her to the 24 hour vet. After sitting for hours, we had xrays done to make sure it wasn't a rock or any foreign object. They did not seem too concerned when I said it most likely was toad feces from the large toads that frequently visit the patio. They decided to put her on Sucralfate and Albon and diagnosed her with Gastritis.
It is now Friday morning and even though her appetite has returned and she is running around and playing more, I feel that she still makes a noise swallowing and sometimes makes a dry heaving sound. Is this something I should be concerned about? Has this ever happened to anyone else? Are we out of the water yet, as far as not causing internal harm? Please Help! |
