Before you limit it to just these two, have you looked at Trupanion? I am seriously considering switching to them from Embrace. I called and spoke to a representative at length today and I really like their setup. They also cover heriditary and congenital disorders, and they have no limits on payout per claim, per incident, or per year, or even lifetime (unlike Embrace's limit on chronic care coverage that you mentioned). A big plus for me is that they pay for medications unlike Embrace who only pays for medication administered by the vet. Oh, and they do not increase premiums as your pet ages or due to the amount of claims you file.

I'd really love for someone else to look into them and see what they think. It sounds like great coverage to me.
